We are looking for hard-working, dedicated, Game of Thrones fans to join our ranks as volunteer staff members for Con of Thrones. If you are interested, please complete the following form. If you are selected, a member of our volunteers team will be in touch prior to the convention. Feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions!
Welcome attendees to Con of Thrones! You will act as the first point of contact for attendees and service check-in throughout the weekend.
Explore the Marketplace and work directly with our Vendor Coordinators to help attendees through the space and support the needs of our vendors.
Help manage the traffic flow of guests as they wait to meet their favorite Game of Thrones stars! Work with our coordinators and photographers to distribute photos throughout the weekend.
Help us make the weekend run smoothly. Direct attendees to program rooms and ensure that the needs of each program are covered. Help facilitate Q&As and let speakers know when their time is up.
Shifts at Volunteer HQ help make sure all of our volunteers are prepared for the convention. Help fill in any gaps in coverage throughout the weekend, and act as a point of contact for volunteers checking in for their shift.
Assist our team the Thursday before the action begins with bag stuffing and other activities.
Con of Thrones volunteers must be 18 years of age or older by June 28, 2017. The above interest form does not guarantee that you will be selected for a volunteer role at Con of Thrones 2017. The deadline for submitting the application is May 15, 2017.
Volunteers will receive access to the convention for the day/s of their shifts. Additionally, volunteers who are selected for Con of Thrones will be given a complimentary day pass for every six (6) hours completed, a sweet t-shirt which must be worn while on shift, and a small token of our appreciation. Volunteers must purchase any Autographs or Photographs they wish to receive while on shift or otherwise during their time at Con of Thrones.
Every volunteer is required to work a minimum of 6 hours in order to qualify for a complimentary day pass to the event. However, you may choose to work multiple shifts. If you are interested in working multiple shifts, please let us know by emailing email@example.com.
This will depend on your school and the requirements of your program. However, we're happy to facilitate any documentation you might need to show your school in order to receive credit for your time.
Volunteers will be able to state preferences of date, time, and location throughout the event. However, final assignments are at the discretion of the volunteer coordinator.
We ask that you attend one training and orientation session, which may be ahead of the event, and review all orientation materials (handbooks) sent out ahead of the event.
Enthusiasm, compassion, and a smile! Any specific knowledge necessary to complete the work of a volunteer shift will be given to you during volunteer orientation.
